Building with editorial restraint

A portfolio site is not a catalogue of every skill you have ever touched. It is an argument: this is how I think, this is what I refuse to do, and this is what working together feels like.

Lead with structure

Swiss design is not austerity for its own sake. It is a promise that the visitor will always know where they are. One container width, one rhythm, one type scale — then break it only when the content earns it.

Let the work breathe

Full-bleed project bands alternate direction so the eye travels down the page instead of scanning a grid of identical cards. Each case study gets room to explain the problem before showing the outcome.

Restrain motion

Fade in over four hundred milliseconds. No parallax, no looping backgrounds. The site should feel calm enough to read on a late train home.

When you customize Midnight Office, treat motion the same way: if an animation does not clarify hierarchy, remove it.
